Call for applications for Visiting Researcher Grants
The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) invites applications for:
Six Visiting Researcher Grants:
- Visiting Researcher Grants (max. DKK 400,000 each)
These grants include salary costs, travel and accommodation expenses for international senior researchers who visit research Institutions in Denmark during 2027 and 2028 (up to a maximum of DKK 400,000 in total). These visits aim to strengthen international research exchange, foster new ideas, and build lasting partnerships across borders.
Applications can be in any research field within diabetes, metabolism or endocrinology.
Deadline for application is 18 August 2026 at 23:59 CET with expected date of reply 26 November 2026.
Important:
To apply for a Visiting Researcher Grant, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
- Applications can be submitted by senior academics (senior lecturer/associate professor or above).
- At the time of allocation of the grant, you must be employed at a university outside Denmark.
- You must be able to document your intended collaboration with one or more researchers at a Danish research institution (a letter of support from the collaborating host principal investigator should be included).
- You must have an academic degree at PhD level or higher.
- You must have an excellent academic record.
- You must be able to document teaching experience.
- You must be willing to teach/give lectures or participate in organising education or networking activities offered by DDEA and/or review applications for DDEA.
