Your Tasks
- Contribute to teaching in the Bachelor Creative Media Production, participate in teambuilding, take part in shaping the new degree program, bring in ideas, collaborate closely with the team, be willing to participate in programme retreats, faculty meetings, and collegial teaching observation, be willing to grow as an educator
- Teach core techniques in programming in a state-of the-art programming language (i.e. object oriented or scripting)
- Teach core fundamentals including variables, data types, arrays functions, scope, objects, classes
- Teach using examples from applications in audio and video and demonstrate applicability in the audiovisual domain
Your offer to us
- Master‘s degree (or higher) in computer science, audiovisual engineering, or a related technical field
- At least 2 years of professional experience relevant to this position
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching relevant to this position, and/or pedagogical education
- Interest in, or knowledge of, innovative, contemporary pedagogical methods
- Native English or high proficiency in oral and written English; work confidently in an English-speaking environment. German language skills are not required
- Team spirit and willingness to work closely together with colleagues and director
Our offer to you
- A semester-contract with the potential for renewal (Note that this position is contingent on the accreditation of the Bachelor Creative Media Production; it is planned to start in August 2026, however, the appointment may be cancelled or start at a later date)
- A salary that is calculated on the basis of contact hours delivered and in accordance with the statutory university salary schedule, with classification contingent on documented experience levels. The agreed hourly rate constitutes full compensation for all teaching-related duties, including preparation, assessment, student consultation, participation in course-related meetings and retreats, and administrative tasks associated with the position

- Please note that for employment as a part‑time lecturer, proof of other employment subject to full social security contributions (or retirement) is required
