Position Description:
We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to work in the Tau Airshower Mountain-Based Observatory, TAMBO. TAMBO is a new experiment that aims to detect astrophysical tau neutrinos in the PeV to 100 PeV energy range, whose first phase is now funded. The successful applicant will work in Professor Carlos Argüelles’ group on the development, construction, and deployment of TAMBO Phase 1.
Candidates with strong expertise in data acquisition systems, cosmic-ray detectors, and data analysis are strongly encouraged to apply, as these skills will be preferred in the selection process. This appointment duration is for up to three years, with reappointment contingent upon funding and research collaboration.

Basic Qualifications
Candidates for this position must have completed their Ph.D. degree by the appointment start date; demonstrate outstanding research in particle physics appropriate to the level of the position; and have the ability to identify and pursue research problems independently while working well in an interactive and dynamic setting.

Salary Range
$67,600-$80,000
Pay offered to the selected candidate is dependent on factors such as years of experience, training or qualification, field of scholarship, and accomplishments in the field.
The ranges listed above do not preclude you from making an offer above these ranges once you have identified a candidate. The usual considerations of equity and the Massachusetts Equal Pay Act should be taken into account. These ranges may also change when there is a final contract with the Harvard Academic Workers Union.
