Computer Scientist, Mathematician, Engineer Robotics, Control Technoloy or similar (f/m/x)


As a research associate, post-doc or also in the context of your PhD work, you will conduct research in application-oriented research projects with our partners from the industry on the development of novel assistance and automation systems. In particular we are interested in better understanding with your support, how such systems can be designed and developed in such a way that they act in a trustworthy manner and are operationally reliable.

Therefore, you will setup a perception chain as a component of an ADAS system in cars to apply and evaluate our engineering methods, such as scenario-based testing and risk assessment for instance.

  • completed university studies (master/diploma) in the field of computer science. Alternatively, other courses of study may be considered for the position, such as robotics, experimental physics, mathematics, control engineering, information and communication engineering, and systems engineering, if experience in at least one of the following areas can be demonstrated.
  • experience in sensor data processing for environment perception (e.g., LIDAR, radar, camera).
  • experience in software development using hardware related languages such as C or C++ or Rust. 
  • experience with software development tools such as ROS, MATLAB Simulink or dSPACE tools.
  • research experience in autonomous systems, validation of information inputs for safety-critical applications and testbeds.
  • experience in data analysis and algorithm development based on machine learning (AI) techniques in the automotive domain.
