The Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine – ITEM is one of 76 institutes of the Fraunhofer Society, the largest applied research organization in Europe. Our mission is to protect human life in our industrialized world from health hazards and to contribute to the development of new therapeutic approaches.
At the division of “Personalized Tumor Therapy” of Fraunhofer ITEM in Regensburg, we investigate metastasis of solid tumors and develop new diagnostic tests and therapeutic approaches for systemic cancer. One of our current aims is to establish standardized immuno-oncology screening assays based on patient-derived material and to strengthen our imaging and data analysis capabilities.
We are looking for a scientist with a strong interest in drug and target discovery, image analysis, and bioinformatics to bridge the gap between automated lab experiments and data analysis.
