The Division of Stored and Cooled Ions (Director: Prof. Dr. Klaus Blaum) at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg (Germany) offers several
with the aim to develop a PhD project within one of the Penning trap-based experiments at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics – PENTATRAP, ALPHATRAP, or He-3-Trap. The experiments run in the division “Stored and Cooled Ions” led by Prof. Dr. Klaus Blaum and are supervised by Dr. Sergey Eliseev, Dr. Sven Sturm and Dr. Andreas Mooser, respectively.
The candidate will be offered to defend his / her doctoral work at the Heidelberg University (https://www.uni-heidelberg.de).
The contract period is initially limited for three years. The positions will be filled at the earliest convenience. The salary will be paid in according to the Collective Agreement for the Public Service in Germany (TVöD).
