Engineer Space Technology, Mechanical Engineering or similar (f/m/x)

You will be employed at Team/Group Leader level as a Systems Engineering (SE) and Concurrent Engineering (CE) expert in the Systems Analysis Space Segment RY-SRS department.
They perform the following tasks:
- The advertised leading position comprises the responsibility for the CE-laboratory and a corresponding team as a section head. Furthermore, the tasks include:
- extension of the Concurrent Engineering Operation Team
- scheduling of the CEF-Operation, which is an official DLR Research Facility
- Financial Management of the CEF
- operational Planning (teaming, study selection, communication)
- coordination with IT (S/W & H/W) including maintenance and further development
- coordination with infrastructure responsibles (building, media environment)
- concurrent Engineering Process Development (research and development, CE-model and tool development, integration of commercial tools, QA, safety)
- collaborative Engineering Process Development (research and development)
- CE study operation as team leader, organizer and/or domain expert with internal (DLR) and external partners (space industry, universities)
- giving special lectures within systems/concurrent engineering courses
- acquisition of studies and projects
- participation in international conferences and workshops
- documentation and publication of results
- external Communication with public and press
- external consulting
- completed university degree within a technical, natural science or economical area
- three years' experience with space background
- experience in working in intercultural and multi-disciplinary teams
- experience in the supervision of research projects and theses
- experience in writing scientific publications
- very good English language skills
- affinity for managing, organizing, teaming and communicating
- open personality
- experience in Space Systems Engineering (at least Project Phase 0/A and B)
- experience in Concurrent Engineering
- experiences in Team Leading
- experience working in within EU- and ESA-Projects (acquisition and execution)
