As part of our young and motivated team, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the design and implementation of agent-based models to simulate and analyze threat scenarios. You will contribute your creative ideas to the investigation and evaluation of simulation-based validation methods for security concepts. You will collaborate in interdisciplinary projects with partners and users and solve challenges as part of a team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • the development of agent-based methods for modeling threats in maritime (critical) infrastructures
  • investigate and develop agent-based validation methods to assess the resilience of maritime infrastructures
  • interdisciplinary collaboration with other groups (internal as well as external)
  • presentation and publication of research results in scientific journals as well as at national and international conferences
  • possibility of own scientific qualification in the context of a doctorate
  • a successfully completed university degree (master's/diploma) in computer science, engineering or natural sciences or other courses of study relevant to the job
  • experience in agent-based modeling of socio-technical systems, ideally in the context of critical infrastructures, is an advantage
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in English, German language skills are an advantage
  • creativity and cooperation skills, a high degree of motivation as well as flexibility and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
