The Institute for Solar Research is one of the leading research institutions in the field of concentrating solar technology and develops sustainable solutions for process heat and power supply. In the department of Solar High Temperature Technologies, we develop and demonstrate solar receivers capable of generating heat at up to 1000 °C. The System Modeling groups focus is on how these heat sources, together with other elements such as photovoltaics and thermal storage, can be used for energy supply solutions in power plants and industrial parks.Our team of young and experienced engineers models the systems and evaluates them technically and economically together with our partners from industry.

Your main workplace will be in Stuttgart, but occasional travel to project partners or to conferences will take you to destinations in Germany, Europe or even internationally. Our department is located in Stuttgart and Cologne. We are used to communicating via video conferencing systems and work closely together both in the office and in the home office.
