Within the Horizon Europe AquaINFRA project (https://aquainfra.eu) at the IGB in Berlin in Adlershof, we are inviting applications for the position of a programmer to start as soon as possible.
We seek an individual who is keen on transforming the European aquatic data and software landscape to support research communities. The vision is that researchers can analyse and host their data, software and workflows online while using available open-source tools, such as Jupyter and R Notebooks that can be further customized for reuse. Analysis workflows in the VRE will be able to capitalize on the latest and powerful high-performance computation resources in Europe, and special emphasis lies on applying scalable open-source software that addresses the connectivity across aquatic habitats. The AquaINFRA platform will be part of the larger European Open Science Cloud architecture.

Salary is paid according to the German salary scheme for the public sector (TVöD Bund). Depending on the personal qualifications and the tasks assigned, the position will be paid up to E13. The position is offered on a full time, fixed-term basis for three years. The position is principally suited for job sharing or part-time work with at least 19 h/week. Applications by job-sharing tandems are welcome.
