Ph.D. student in philosophy for the project “Just Parenthood: The Ethics and Politics of Childrearing in the 21st Century”

I am looking for a Ph.D. student in philosophy to work with me and a postdoc in the research project “Just Parenthood: The Ethics and Politics of Childrearing in the 21st Century” at the University of Basel. The project is founded by the Swiss National Science Foundation for a period of five years (2023-2028).

Your position

• Tasks: Research and organization of events within the project “Just parenthood”, participation in the research colloquium
• 3000 CHF per year for trips to conferences or workshops
• Stay at a university abroad budgeted for

Your profile

• Very good M.A. in philosophy (or completed by summer 2023)
• Interest in family ethics, especially co-parenthood
• Motivation to do a Ph.D. in philosophy

We offer you

• 4-year contract
• The position is full time. Salary is between 47'000 and 50'000 CHF brutto per year (yearly increases)
• Place: University of Basel, Switzerland
