Full Professorship (W3) of Slavic Linguistics(Chair)


commencing as soon as possible.  


The candidate is expected to demonstrate a broad competence in Slavic linguistics in research as well as teaching. His/her research focus should include Russian as well as another Slavic language. Since the professorship will be associated with the planned LMU Center for Linguistics, the successful candidate will work closely with other linguistic departments and participate in the doctoral program Class of Language of the Graduate School for Language and Literature as well as in interdepartmental degree programs in linguistics and in the M.A. program East European Studies. The candidate will also be expected to engage in promoting and developing international cooperation in research and teaching.


Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
