Programme Director for the Master Programme Environmental and Sustainability Management (f/m/d)


You are a leader 


You will be responsible for the master programme "Environmental and Sustainability Management" and organising the study operations. You will be lecturing in your scientific discipline and contribute to the Department of Business's research areas with applied research projects. You will inspire students when supervising their academic papers and nurture our network by fostering relationships with regional and international partners. You also have all what it takes to motivate people exploring current business topics and their links. 

You have a distinctly international outlook 


  • University degree (PhD or equivalent)
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental and sustainability management
  • University teaching and leadership experiences
  • Experience as a degree programme director an advantage
  • Experience of conducting research projects and attracting third-party funding
  • Strong publication record and active member of scientific community (as reflected in memberships, conference attendance and peer review work)
  • Excellent English and German (min. C1 Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) 

You are highly committed and willing to learn, and have excellent organisational skills. A professional demeanour, respect for colleagues and leadership abilities are very important to us. We expect our people to work efficiently with an emphasis on achieving targets, and to adopt an entrepreneurial, strategic approach.

IMC Krems is not member to any collective agreement. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is Euro 68.000,-- on the basis of full-time employment (40 hours per week). Depending on professional qualifications and experiences, we are willing to overpay. The award of a professorship is not tied to the conclusion of an employment contract but to a peer review process and requires appropriate evidence of the candidate's record in teaching, research and practice.
