Lecturer in Computer graphics

The department of Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering has an open position as lecturer in Computer graphics. Within the division of Computer Science, we conduct research within applied computer game technology and provide educations in Computer graphics for game and film as well as Computer game programming.

We are looking for a 3D generalist or technical artist with solid experience and knowledge in real-time graphics and Unreal Engine as well as working experience in industry standard software.

Subject description 
Pervasive and mobile computing address distributed systems and mobile networks which enable mobility, ubiquity and interactivity of computers, data, software and users.

Description of work 
The assignments will include development in relation to research projects in VR and Virtual production (e.g. to create photo-realistic environments in Unreal Engine) and teaching courses related to Computer graphics.


Applicants must:

  • hold a BSc degree of 180 ECTS (or equivalent)
  • demonstrate pedagogical skills

The candidate should be able to display a strong portfolio or demo reel within Computer graphics.

The candidate should be able to communicate and teach in English.

A merit for the position is experience in handling 3D scanned assets in real time and to have strong problem-solving skills.

Important personal characteristics is communication and teamwork skills.

The position is a time-limited full-time position of 1 year with the possibility of extension. Access by agreement. Position is placed in Skellefteå.
