"Databases for genomic surveillance of emerging pathogens"
The position is funded by the HORIZON Europe Framework Programme. Appointment will be initially for 2 years and subject to extension based on a positive interim evaluation. The salary-level will be up to TV-L 14, according to qualification. The position is offered full time but not appropriate for part time work. Starting date will be as soon as possible.
We develop databases for pathogen genome sequences and associated metadata to support microbiologists, clinicians and epidemiologists with access to data and standardized analytical services. Your tasks will include the development and maintenance of such databases based on the EnteroBase platform (https://enterobase.warwick.ac.uk), their integration with existing databases (BacDive, NCBI GenBank) and with pipelines for bioinformatic analysis (e.g. for prediction of antimicrobial resistance). The job requires close interaction with collaboration partners, both national and international.
