The Department of Law and Economics at the Technische Universita?t Darmstadt seeks candidates for a
Assistant Professorship (W2 tenure track) in Information Systems
The successful candidate’s research will focus on the digitalization of the economy. He or she should engage in at least two of the main research areas of the department, “Digital Transformation”, “Logistics & Supply Chain Management” or “Innovation & Growth”.
This position contributes to the Degree Programs of the Department focusing on Business Administration/Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems. Research and teaching should be complementary to the two existing Chairs of Information Systems.
We are looking for high-potential candidates with a PhD degree in Information Systems and publications in leading journals in Information Systems Research. He or she should have experience in attracting external research funding and have an international focus. Candidates will develop a strong research program and contribute actively to the research focus within the department and collaborating disciplines within the university. Candidates should be familiar with teaching courses at Bachelor and Master Levels and should be prepared to teach mainly in English.
The professorship is financed by funds from the „Bund-La?nder-Programm zur Fo?rderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses“.
The Assistant Professorship is designed as Qualification Professorship as per § 64 HHG. Regulations on the maximum period of scientific activities after the acquisition of the PhD degree as well as all additional requirements for employment are subject to § 64 HHG in the respective current version. Remuneration follows the German W-Besoldung at level W2 Hessisches Besoldungsgesetz. The position is initially limited to six years. For the position, the option for a tenured professorship after a successful tenure procedure is given.
