The position is assigned to the High Temperature Heat Pumps department.
While significant progress has been made in the past in the generation of electricity from renewable energies and while innovative technologies for electromobility have been developed, the focus is now shifting to the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industrial processes. Efficient heat pumps for the provision of process heat will make a significant contribution. An economically viable transformation of industrial processes into low-carbon technologies is the motivation for the work at the DLR Institute of Low Carbon Industrial Processes at the Cottbus and Zittau sites. The Institute's task is to support industry on the path to decarbonization through technology development and scientific consultancy.
The “Industrial Projects and Project Management” group is responsible for managing the department's industrial demo projects and carries the expertise in the area of project management in the department. The group will oversee and manage all demo projects for the department from the initial idea to the realization. The position holder and his/her colleagues will design and organize the cooperation between the other groups of the department and will be responsible for the timely and high-quality implementation of the projects with a budget above 1 MiO€.
