The relevance of remote sensing data has been increased during the last decade. Especially for the monitoring of global processes, related to global change effect will be one key objective for using remote sensing data. The Horizon Europe project Open-Earth-Monitorprovide a FAIR-compliant cyberinfrastructure, based on cloud-based implementation of open source software, to serve robust and generic data science tools to a diversity of European and global programmes and actions (e.g. European Green Deal actions, Copernicus Land Monitoring Programme, Copernicus Climate Change Service, GEOSS, Destination Earth and similar) for the ultimate purpose of increasing the health and quality of life of EU citizens now and into the future.
For this project we are looking for you - enthusiastic, goal-oriented and with the affinity to lead scientific methods to the users of novel Earth Observation data. You will be responsible for co-leading a work package of the project focusing on “User-driven system design and FAIR workflows”.

It is a physical lab, which intends to establish itself as a technology platform for application-oriented, trans-disciplinary method developments for the analysis of remote sensing data. To improve the transfer activities of the entire Department of Geodesy, the Lab acts as an interface between scientific expertise and cooperation partners and customers.
Let’s work together in search of new ideas and products, but most important, help each other to excel and further develop our own skills.
