Structural design and analysis of advanced and 3D printed structures for satellite applications
What to expect:
The research of the ‘Structures for Satellites and Exploration’ group can be divided into two main application areas: Structures for satellites and structures for exploration missions.
Whereas the area of satellites requires flexible and integrated design platforms, design methods with integrated AI and cost-effective production methods as well as concepts for sustainability in mission and material selection as early as the design stage, exploration missions tend to focus on ‘enabling’ technologies.
Your position is established to promote the scientific knowledge gain in the field of demisable satellite structures for a sustainable use of our space infrastructure.
