Scientist (m/f/d) - Quality assurance in laser module production for GNSS applications - 35/24
The Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik (FBH) is an application-oriented research institute in the fields of high-frequency electronics, photonics and quantum physics. It researches electronic and optical components, modules and systems based on compound semiconductors. These devices are key enablers that address the needs of today’s society in fields like communications, energy, health, and mobility. It covers the entire value chain from design to ready-for-delivery systems.
As part of a project related to the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), we are looking for two scientific employees (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

Your tasks
- Supervision and documentation of the manufacturing process of micro-integrated laser modules for GNSS-related applications along the entire value chain
- Management and monitoring of technical requirements and PA requirements up to complete product documentation for final delivery
- Development and monitoring of the product assurance process
- Independent generation of documentation relevant to the product assurance process in accordance with ECSS standards
- Coordination of processes and quality assurance documentation with the customer
- Qualification of laser modules for specific mission scenarios
Your profile
- Diploma or Master's degree in a technical field such as aerospace engineering, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable degree
- Relevant knowledge and practical experience in quality assurance methods
- Experience in optical measurement technology and/or with diode lasers is desirable
- Enthusiasm for details and a highly meticulous approach to work
- Ability to work in a team, commitment and independent working approach
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
