Our Center for Energy located in Vienna develops sustainable solutions for the future energy system, taking into account technological, regulatory and economic requirements. The topic portfolio is based on three central systems: Public Energy Supply Systems, Industrial Energy Systems and Cities & Built Environment.

 

Our work frequently involves international cooperations and partnerships, that play a vital role in advancing a sustainable energy future. We are part of dedicated, international transition policy and innovation programmes (ETIP-SNET, BRIDGE, ISGAN, IEA-TCPs) and we have taken over a leading role within the projects. To support these international cooperation programmes, we are looking for a:


RESEARCH ENGINEER (F/M/D) FOR INTERNATIONAL ENERGY TRANSITION AND INNOVATION PROGRAMMES (FULL-TIME / PART-TIME)

CENTER FOR ENERGY

  • Coordination of International Cooperation Initiatives: Defining workflows, coordinate of work processes and work packages for the international cooperation programmes, where our organisation holds leadership.
  • Coordination of Strategic Documents: Giving subject matter input to design strategy documents and policies; support the coordination, input, and content alignment of strategic documents with partners and research institutions, ensuring agreement and preparing documents ready for signing.
  • Moderation of Meetings and Discussion Formats: prepare and finalise agendas, organise and moderate expert discussions and panels, ensuring effective dialogue and valuable exchanges of ideas among highly ranked international experts.
  • Outreach and Stakeholder Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies to engage key stakeholders and enhance visibility of our international cooperation programmes.


Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • Degree in a technical subject (for e.g. Renewable Energy Systems, Renewable Energy Engineering, Energy Technologies, Energy Economics, Energy & Sustainable Management or a related field)
  • Expertise in energy systems, energy markets, energy infrastructure or a comparable subject
  • Experience in international cooperation formats 
  • Affinity to energy transition and its supporting strategies/technologies
  • Willingness to travel intercontinentally for meetings and events
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Very good communication and presentation skills in English


What to expect:


The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 57.890,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience.
