WHAT TO EXPECT

You will represent the subject area of Electrical Grids in our bachelor’s and master’s programmes in Energy, Building and Environmental Engineering. Your professional focus is on the design, construction and operation of electrical transmission and distribution grids. You will also inspire our students with your enthusiasm for the fundamentals of electrical engineering and promote skills in electrical machinery.

You are confident in creating digital offerings and practice-related laboratory courses.

Besides teaching, you will be able to continuously advance your research in the field of power grids in the energy transition – excellently equipped laboratory and research infrastructure will be available to you for this purpose at the Technology Campus in Steinfurt.

Last but not least, you will take on responsibilities in self-government and make a constructive contribution to cooperative interaction at the department.


YOUR BACKGROUND

Your expertise is based on a degree in engineering or science, ideally electrical engineering, and a recognised doctorate.

You have several years of practical professional experience with a network operator or in an industrial environment.

You will teach your classes in German and English – you are fluent in speaking and writing both languages.
