WHAT TO EXPECT
You will represent the subject area of Electrical Power Engineering in our bachelor’s and master’s programmes in Electrical Engineering.
Your teaching and research will focus on current topics such as modelling, simulation and management of electrical storage, the development of smart grids or photovoltaics. You will be able to continuously advance the development of electrical grids as the energy transition progresses and contribute to the interdisciplinary field of electromobility.
As well as inspiring our students in their basic education, you will also support our digitisation efforts by providing online course offerings.
Last but not least, you will take on responsibilities in self-government and make a constructive contribution to cooperative interaction at the department.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Your expertise is based on a degree in electrical engineering or a comparable science or engineering degree – your profile is rounded off by a recognised doctorate.
You also have sound, relevant professional experience in the field of power engineering.
If you do not yet have the required five years of professional experience, we can offer you potential solutions.
You will teach primarily in German, but also in English as part of the internationalisation of the university – you are fluent in speaking and writing both languages.
Your profile is complemented by an extensive network of specialist partnerships.
WE OFFER YOU
A permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.
You will be able to strike a healthy work-life-family balance.
Our extensive portfolio of professional teaching development will enable you to develop your skills on an ongoing basis.
An excellently equipped laboratory and research infrastructure will be available to you at the Technology Campus in Steinfurt.
