Professorship in “Programming Methodology and Software Profiling” (F/M/D)

16239

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will get your students excited about modern programming paradigms and efficient programming. Taking a practical approach, you will communicate the importance of basic programming tools and concepts such as functional or aspect-oriented programming. You are interested in efficient software, e.g. to save energy, and will teach students the techniques and tools to do this.

You will contribute to our basic education in computer science at the department and enhance our elective courses in the bachelor’s and master’s programmes.

Working in an attractive environment, you will initiate and supervise application-related research projects, also across departments or in cooperation with companies.

Last but not least, you will take on responsibilities in self-government and make a constructive contribution to cooperative interaction at the department.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Your expertise is based on a degree in computer science or a comparable science or engineering degree – your profile is rounded off by a recognised doctorate.

You also have extensive and relevant practical experience in programming methodology and software profiling.

In addition to teaching experience in higher education, you have applied for and carried out your own research projects.

You will teach your classes in both German and English – you are fluent in speaking and writing both languages.

If you do not yet have the required five years of professional experience, we can offer you potential solutions.

WE OFFER YOU

permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.

You will be able to strike a healthy work-life-family balance.

Our extensive portfolio of professional teaching development will enable you to develop your skills on an ongoing basis.

You can look forward to an exciting challenge as part of our team, with dedicated colleagues to support you from the very beginning.
