Job description

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will mainly work on research projects in the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative measures to prevent food waste in different parts of the supply chain, e.g. in commercial kitchens and households. It also requires proven experience in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), relevant experience in the field of food waste, and experience in research on social aspects of waste management. A good command of English and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is also a prerequisite for the position.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration and initiative-taking qualities, an ability to work independently and in a structured way, as well as the ability to prioritise among work tasks.

Additional merits

  • Knowledge of food waste prevention, including quantification of waste, and development and implementation of waste prevention measures.
  • Documented knowledge of LCA.
