Postdoc position (m/f/d)

for the topic:

“Data science in bulk crystal growth”

Job description:

For Czochralski growth of single crystals for the next generation of devices in high-power electronics, optoelectronics, sensing systems and photovoltaics, process control based on Artificial Intelligence is a key factor for higher yields and lower energy consumption. In the frame of an EU project, as a member of our simulation team, you will contribute to understanding, optimization and control of industrial process for the Czochralski growth of laser crystals using AI tools in close cooperation with an international consortium. We are looking for a dynamic personality willing to pursue their scientific career by defining & establishing new research topics in close collaboration with our IKZ teams. 

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in data/physical/chemical/engineering sciences 
  • Proven experience in data science applications 
  • Proven experience in programming (e.g. Python, Matlab) for data science 
  • AI driven process control skills are an advantage 
  • Profound English language skills
