As a Business Development Manager at the Institute of Flight Guidance, you can expect a highly motivated team of committed and interdisciplinary scientists. You will work together on the conception and implementation of challenging research topics in the field of air traffic management, such as climate-optimised flying, the integration of new types of aircraft into airspace and the digitalisation of air traffic control.

In order to recognise trends, market developments and new research perspectives at an early stage, you will proactively monitor the national and European research market. As a Business Development Manager, you will be in constant dialogue with an international network consisting of industry and research. Together with over 100 scientists at the institute, you will shape the research portfolio of the future and develop new research topics. In addition, we offer you the necessary freedom to realise your own research ideas.


Your qualifications:

  • completed scientific university degree (Master's/Diploma) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, aviation management or another degree programme relevant to the position
  • detailed knowledge of the national and European research market
  • several years of international professional experience and sound expertise in the field of air traffic management
  • contractual German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • A prerequisite for employment at DLR is security clearance in accordance with the German Security Clearance Act (SÜG) as well as the willingness to undergo a security clearance in accordance with §8 ff SÜG.
