The focus of the DLR Institute for Data Science in Jena is on finding solutions to the major challenges of the digitalization age. Research here focuses on the areas of data acquisition and mobilization, data management and enrichment, and data analysis and intelligence.
In the "Information Extraction and Interoperability" working group, we research and develop solutions for digitalization and information consistency in heterogeneous systems, particularly in the context of production.
The position advertised here is set up to develop new scientific methods and tools to improve data and process interoperability. Various data models (digital shadows) are to be integrated over the life cycle of products, following the FAIR principles. In addition to classic product information, life cycle assessment (LCA) models for evaluating the CO2 impact also play a role here.
