Our Center for Digital Safety & Security is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in Vienna. In the Center for Digital Safety & Security we develop state-of-the-art information and communication technologies to ensure that our systems are highly secure and reliable in the context of comprehensive digitalisation and global networking – Hereby we focus on a variety of key technologies like Distributed IT Systems, Internet of Things, IoT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain Technologies, Quantum & Photonic Technologies, Wireless Systems (6G) and Digital solutions for crisis & disaster management. 

  

Our experts from the Competence Unit Cooperative Digital Technologies work on the development of data-based IT solutions for various application scenarios, including the design of new and innovative solutions supporting communities in increasing their resilience and achieving their sustainable development goals (SDG). As a reliable partner of industry and public authorities, we work on digital tools for a sustainable and resilient society based on current research results and in collaboration with end users and our customers. 

The focus of our applications is on climate change impact assessment and the protection of society during crises and disasters.



JUNIOR SCIENTIST (M/F/D) – DATA GOVERNANCE SPECIALIST FOR DIGITAL COMMUNITIES (PART-TIME, 30 H / WEEK)

CENTER FOR DIGITAL SAFETY & SECURITY

  • As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide training and support on data governance to data users, creating added value for our partners.
  • You will be in contact with multiple groups of different stakeholders of the data space for smart and sustainable communities and you will identify, integrate, and coordinate the experts within the project.
  • In coordination with experts and users, you will assist with the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures, KPIs and standards in data space for smart and sustainable communities.
  • You will work with stakeholders on data risks and sustainable data spaces, including digital twins and monitoring.
  • You are a competent and reliable technical contact for colleagues and project partners.
  • You will contribute your ideas and skills to the team and gradually take on new areas of responsibility.
  • In the customer and research projects, you will play a significant role in innovative solutions for a sustainable and resilient society of tomorrow.
  • You will continuously expand your network into the national and international community.
  • You will publish at scientific conferences and present your topics at events.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • Degree (at least MSc.) in Data Governance, Information Management, Business Sustainability, Urbanism or similar
  • Good knowledge in the field of data governance principles and practices, as well as experience working with data spaces, creating synergies, and aligning governance frameworks with sustainability goals
  • Interest in socioeconomic challenges and new technical topics based on a broad technical understanding.
  • Hands-on mentality and affinity for the creation of sustainable technical solutions
  • High level of commitment and strong teamwork skills
  • Good knowledge of English or German



What to expect: 

The minimum gross annual salary on a full-time basis (38,5 h / week) according to the collective agreement is EUR 53.578,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. For the AI-based Knowledge Management field, the possibility for a PhD Thesis may arise in the future. 


Through our AIT-PhD programme with 150 internationals students, conducted in collaboration with renowned universities, you will have the opportunity to conduct your PhD thesis in collaboration with our experts and our national and international project partners from industry or other research institutions.
